I am Nothing

We must understand our fallenness, brokenness, and imperfections—but do so without falling into despair, depression, or self-hatred. Yes, we are but grass. Yes, we are lowly and vile at times. Yes, compared to God, we are nothing. I know, personally, that I am nothing. Now, this could, would, and has—many times—led me to depression, self-hatred, and despair. Therefore, we cannot stop at simply saying, "I am nothing," because that’s not the end.

We must say, "I am nothing... but God, You are SOMETHING. Something great. You are everything. Lord, without You, I can do nothing. Lord, save me, guide me, and help me in all things and scenarios. There is nothing I ought to do without You. I want to be by Your side always."

May we always remember our lowliness whilst also knowing God's greatness.
